Hines is a privately owned, international real estate firm that has provided the highest level of quality, service and value to its clients and investors for more than 50 years. Since its inception in 1957, Hines has created projects of the highest quality, aesthetic relevance and enduring value for its investor partners, clients and local communities. Working with such notable architects as Cesar Pelli, Frank Gehry, I.M. Pei and Philip Johnson, Hines has redefined the way developers interact with and treat architecture, promoting a balance between function, beauty and sustainability and reshaping skylines around the world.
In Houston alone, the firm has developed nearly 30 million square feet of office space, more than any other developer in the city. Hines landmark buildings define the downtown skyline, including One and Two Shell Plaza, Pennzoil Place, 1100 Louisiana , JPMorgan Chase Tower, and Bank of America Center. Since constructing the first high-rise building in the southwest in 1971, Hines has established an honorable track record and outstanding relationships among the business community.
Hines began testing green technologies in the early 1990s and has been implementing and refining them ever since. In fact, Hines executives have been actively involved in the development of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) programs and have committed a number of buildings to its pilot initiatives.
In 2004, Hines became the first real estate firm ever to have been recognized with the Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR® Sustained Excellence Award. Prior to that, Hines was named ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year three years running, from 2001-2003. And, in 2009-2012, Hines was again recognized with the ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award. Currently, more than 150 Hines owned or managed buildings have been awarded the ENERGY STAR label.

Harvey has been operating as a full-service general contractor in Houston, Texas for 50 years, and has had an excellent relationship with Hines for the same period of time. The philosophical approach to a project has not changed since inception. Harvey still has a project leader, project manager, and superintendent who begin with projects in the preconstruction phase and finish at project completion. Although the philosophy is different than other general contractors, the practice and work product have made them the top ranked general contractor in Houston for several years running. In Houston, there is no other contractor who has the high-rise experience coupled with Hines experience that Harvey has. Harvey has produced over 35 high-rise buildings in Houston and Central Texas (many for Hines) and Harvey has successfully completed over 400 Hines projects.
